Airtel, well known telecom service providers, has announced special service to its prepaid customers. Under this service, Airtel company will provide the balance in your mobile for emergency calling. Under the service of the company will offer talk time from Rs 5 to Rs 30 range on demand.
Also, Airtel will allow to gift your friends the talk time. One can transfer the balance talk time to his friends mobile number. At times the situation arises that you are running out of balance and there is no faculty to recharge the mobile. This facility / service can be very very useful.
How to get talk-time from Airtel for making emergency calls:
Airtel prepaid customer need to dial *141# and press the calling button. Exit the main menu to enter the airtel gifting service menu on mobile headset display. Select the relevant option as per your need from the 4 choices.
Charges for Talktime Service or Transfer Balance on Airtel Pre-paid
Airtel charges a service fee of Re.1 for talktime transfers from Rs.5 to Rs.10, Rs.2 for transfers from Rs.11 to Rs.20 and Rs.3 for transfers from Rs.21 to Rs.30
Please note that your account balance post deduction (including service fee) on account of talktime transfer should be at least Rs.10.
One can share talktime upto a max of 5 times in a day & 30 times in a calendar month. Also you can share talktime with upto 10 different mobile numbers in a given calendar month.

Gift Packages for Airtel prepaid customers:
 Besides sharing talktime, Airtel also facilitating customer for gifting various packs instead of talktime since some customers prefer gifting things than just talktime. Hence Airtel have launched gifting of local airtel to airtel minutes, all STD minutes, SMS and GPRS usage. At launch we have a total of 14 gifting packages.
Airtel also have gifts that are given to the recipients more than once (recurring) for a defined period of time.
The current packages are as follows:
Local airtel to airtel Minutes (All):
 15 a to a minutes for Rs.11 with a validity of 7 days.
50 a to a minutes for Rs.31 with a validity of 15 days.
.85 a to a minutes for Rs.51 with a validity of 20 days.
STD Minutes (All):
45 minutes for Rs.31 with a validity of 15 days.
80 minutes for Rs.51 with a validity of 20 days.
165 minutes for Rs.101 with a validity of 30 days.
35 minutes every month for a period of 5 months i.e. 5 times for Rs.101 with a validity of 30 days each time.
SMS (Local & STD):
50 SMS for Rs.11 with a validity of 7 days.
200 SMS for Rs.31 with a validity of 7 days.
500 SMS for Rs.51 with a validity of 7 days.
1000 SMS every month for a period of 3 months i.e. 3 times for Rs.151 with a validity of 30 days each time.
 GPRS Usage
 GPRS usage of 100MB for Rs.11 with a validity of 3 days.
PRS usage of 200 MB for Rs.22 with a validity of 3 days.
